At Lurganconary Farm we cherish the natural world.  Our philosophy is to protect the environment and pass it on to the next generation in a better condition and at the same time influence others to adopt this approach also, through best practice.

By reverting back to traditional ‘horsepower’ in the form of shire horses when clearing woodlands we avoided the use of heavy machinery to protect the existing natural ecosystems and wildlife.

An area of the farmlands has been given over to the growing of willow trees which when harvested will be used as a component part in the production of a green manure and as natural fuels.

We have also installed alternative Geo Thermal eco-friendly heating systems in our self catering cottages to preserve valuable resources and protect the environment.
